| I took 10 years off from work to raise my twin boys. When it was time to get back to work, I started in a dog shelter. After the work was done, I would bathe a dog or two. Seeing how much a simple bath helped these animals get their forever homes left me wanting to do more. I then got a job as a bather which quickly progressed into a groomer. My work brings such joy and a sense of accomplishment. I am incredibly fortunate to be someone that can say they truly love their job. I attend 3 grooming trade shows a year. These are where the cream of the crop in our industry come together to share their vast knowledge. I am able to keep current on the latest trends, styles, and information. This is also where the latest products become available. |
| I have three dogs now: Charlie is our newest addition. He is a Standard Parti (black and white) poodle. I rescued him from a local shelter. He was under weight and had many skin problems and terrible hair loss. With lots of love, good nutrition and patience he has made a full recovery. He has become such a hair factory that he has even been a demo dog for a couple of the trade shows. My second Poodle is a black mini poodle. His name is Double Dee. My husband told me one more dog, and it was divorce time. This dog became the Divorce Dog (DD). Lucky for me I kept both my husband and the dog ;) The last and never least is Mickey, a white terrier mix. I can practice my hand stripping skills on him. Being a Terrier he likes to keep tabs on everyone in the family. The Groomer who makes House Calls, I go the extra mile for You and Your Pet. |
